A kaleidoscope of colour and sound

Seven musicians. Hypnotic blends of electronic bass, ambient, jazz and entrancing vocals. Submotion Orchestra shapes some of the most beguiling electronic music in the UK today. Masters of both studio and live festival circuit, the band has enjoyed BBC Radio 6 exposure courtesy of Lauren Laverne and plaudits from the music critics and fans alike.

The band commissioned us to create both the vinyl and CD artwork for their 4th studio album with a brief for the design to echo the sound of the music. Multiple kaleidoscope concepts were explored and the final theme reflects the spectrum of colour references in the track titles and the rich array of guest vocalists on this album.
