Video & Motion Graphics
Film and animation present a unique opportunity to bring your narrative to life and help you get noticed. Our talented in-house production team craft beautiful visuals backed by a well thought out content strategy that can help make your vision a reality.
Our Process
The film and motion graphics process comprises a lot of moving parts to it’s important to understand what’s involved and although every project is different the process outlined below will give you a good idea of what to expect.
Enquiry
The process begins with an initial conversation between us and you. This first stage is really about getting to know each other, understanding your needs and establishing what your project will entail. It’s at this stage we discuss price, timelines and deliverables, Once costs have been agreed and a deposit has been paid work can begin.
Discovery
Once the formalities are out of the way, it’s time to get into the details. Whether through email, over the phone, via video chat or in person, we start gathering information to get a comprehensive picture of your project and target audience. We create a mood board composed of existing motion graphics, aesthetics, or inspiration that will give us an idea of the desired look and feel. That way, expectations are crystal clear.
Brainstorming
At the brainstorming stage we are looking to generate new ideas quickly. We explore animation styles, dream up new characters, locations, and start to think about the most appropriate style. It’s best thought of as a way to light up our imagination.
Storyboard
Now that we understand what you’re looking for and what styles you like we start to develope your project through storyboarding. We map out key scenes by breaking up the script or narrative and stat to sketch out each individual scene. While each frame is a static we beging to outline how it’s going to look and feel as a moving sequence.
Refinement
This is the last stage of the process where we can make significant changes to the final product, without resulting in delays or revisiting the budget. This stage can sometimes involve some back and forth with us tweaking the storybaord and you offering feedback until you are happy.
Development
Finally, we begin the deveoplment stage. Since everything is agreed too, there is rarely a need for back-and-forth communication until we are finished. In some cases, we offer “checkups”, where we show progress for your peace of mind.
Delivery
This stage is all about simple, final touch refinements. Maybe you need a different shot here or some text swapped out there. It’s best to see this phase as a final checklist for pending items, but nothing major as the piece is largely finished.
