Junior Front-End Developer
This is a great opportunity to get started within a leading creative agency working on a multitude of exciting projects where you will get a real sense of involvement from the very moment you start.
A standard day would likely involve building bespoke WordPress themes for one of our clients with the support of our Head of Development. This can involve everything from building the back end of WordPress’s admin section using Advanced Custom Fields to the HTML, CSS and JavaScript on the front end. Don’t be put off by the thought of any complex integrations or functionality as that will be handled by our back end team.
Key Skills/Experience:
- Proficient in HTML, CSS and JavaScript (Ajax/jQuery)
- CSS preprocessor experience (SASS/LESS)
- Strong knowledge of WordPress
- Ability to write quality, maintainable and performant code
- Understanding of PHP – basics
- Understanding of SEO and best technical practices
- Can build themes from scratch
- Ability to see a project through from start to finish
- Keen eye for design detail, interaction and animation
- Keeping up to date with the latest trends and techniques
Please note that this is a junior developer role and as a result, we do not necessarily expect you to have a huge portfolio of client projects.
Send an email to lee@studiokaioti.com including your CV and work examples along with a covering letter stating why you would be good for the role.
